Student Demographics for Spring 2009

Communication Services gathers important student demographic data from the TeleCampus Information System (TIS) following the census day of each institution. The 4,510 academic students taking courses in spring constituted a 22% increase from spring 2008, which had 3,688 students.

• 58% of UTTC students are age 25 or older;
• 28% indicated that their ethnicity is Hispanic;
• 96% are located in Texas;
• Students reside in nine countries in addition to the U.S.;
• UT Arlington had the highest number of home campus students;
• The program with the highest number of students was the Bachelor Completion Program in Criminology and Criminology. Undergraduate curriculum in the GenEd program was second.
